Town centre shooting terror in attempted murder case
Oct 16 2008 by Joanne Douglas, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
EYEWITNESSES told of the terrifying moment a gunman opened fire at a car in Huddersfield town centre.
Two taxi drivers and a woman spoke of seeing an armed man fire shots at a vehicle before fleeing.
Their evidence came on day two of the trial of three Huddersfield men charged with attempted murder.
Bradley Okoro, Carl Hughes and James Collier are alleged to have been involved in an incident in which Sheffield man Damian Munroe was hit in the forehead by a bullet.
Tom Bayliss QC, prosecuting, says it was Okoro, of New Hey Road, who fired the shots while Hughes and Collier looked on.
The three men deny the attempted murder charge.
