A BUS station worker who stole more than £28,000 from his employers faces going to jail.
It is also alleged that Brighouse man Simon Barratt may have stolen nearer £87,000 from Metro, a court was told yesterday.
The father-of-two was charged with seven counts of stealing from Metro – the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive – between April, 2001, until he was caught on October 20 last year
Barratt, 45, of Harley Place, admitted thefts totalling £28,419.60p at Bradford Crown Court.
Once his theft was discovered he admitted to his employers that he had been stealing for about two years.
But prosecutor Duncan Richie said that during interviews Barratt admitted to stealing about £57,000.
