We'll chuck you out over school plans, councillors tell Tories

SCRAP your school plans or we’ll scrap you.
That’s the uncompromising message from a top politician to Kirklees Council’s ruling Conservatives.
Lib Dem leader Clr Kath Pinnock is threatening a no confidence vote in a bid to bring down the Tory Cabinet over a massive school reorganisation plan.
Last month the Conservatives announced a £200m proposal for schools in north Kirklees.
The £200m package involves expanding some schools and shutting 11, including Castle Hall in Mirfield by 2113 and transferring pupils to an extended Mirfield Free Grammar.
The Lib-Dems and Labour oppose the plans.
Clr Pinnock warned the Conservatives that they could lose power over the issue.
