Shooting trial: ‘He got mixed up with the wrong crowd’

THE sister of an alleged gunman is said to have told police her brother was involved in a Huddersfield shooting.

Kay Okoro is alleged to have said that Bradley Okoro had “got mixed up in the wrong crowd” as police searched his Oakes home.

Miss Okoro now denies having ever made the claim to PC Jim Wilde but her comments, said to have been made on May 20 2006, were repeated at the trial of her brother and two other men.

Carl Hughes, 31, of Abbey Road, Fartown, James Collier, 27, of Stoney Cross Street, Taylor Hill, and Bradley Okoro, 22, of New Hey Road, are all charged with the attempted murder of Damian Munroe on April 22 2006 at Cross Church Street.

They are also charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and possessing a firearm.

They all deny the charges.
