Oct 22 2008 by Sam Casey, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
A JURY was shown CCTV footage of a drunken confrontation between two men accused of attempted murder and a group of Huddersfield Giants players.
The pictures, part of the prosecution evidence, showed Bradley Okoro and James Collier squaring up to the unidentified rugby players in Huddersfield town centre on July 31, 2006.
The incident happened three months after Sheffield man Damian Munroe, 28, was shot in the head at Cross Church Street.
Okoro, 22, of New Hey Road, Oakes, Collier, 27, of Stoney Cross Street, Taylor Hill, and a third man, Carl Hughes, 31, of Abbey Road, Fartown, are accused of Mr Munroe’s attempted murder.
They are also charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and possessing a firearm.
They all deny the charges.
