Town centre shooting: 'Lies over phone records'
Oct 23 2008 by Andrew Hirst, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
A POLICE analyst said there was evidence of phone contact between three men accused of attempted murder – despite claims they did not know each other.
Andrew Whitehill, of West Yorkshire Police, was giving evidence in the case against Bradley Okoro, Carl Hughes and James Collier at Bradford Crown Court.
Okoro, 22, of New Hey Road, Oakes, Collier, 27, of Stoney Cross Street, Taylor Hill, and Hughes, 31, of Abbey Road, Fartown, stand accused of trying to kill Sheffield man Damian Munroe.
Mr Munroe was hit in the head with a bullet at Cross Church Street, Huddersfield, in the early hours of April 22, 2006.
The defendants all deny attempted murder, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and possessing a firearm.
