TRAFFIC wardens have been slammed after they ticketed the only car in a village street.
David Wild, of Waters Street in Marsden, asked Kirklees Council to send him a new resident’s parking permit when he bought a new car.
The council never got back to him – but Kirklees officials then gave the self-employed engineer a £60 fine for parking outside his house.
Mr Wild, 43, said: “I think the traffic wardens are sneaking up on people.”
Mr Wild recently traded in his Ford Ranger for a new one. He asked Kirklees Council for a new resident’s parking permit to allow him to park on the narrow Waters Street.
He said: “I still haven’t heard anything back from them and it’s been a month now. I don’t know if my permit is lost in the post or lost in their office.”
