I got a parking ticket - but was only car there

Mr Wild has appealed to Kirklees to overturn the £60 fine.

A council spokesman said: “We have no information about Mr Wild’s new vehicle on file which is why he got the ticket. If Mr Wild calls us we can get the necessary application form to him.

“In the meantime he can use a visitor permit on his car until we can get the new permit to him which will prevent any further tickets.”

The spokesman added it was untrue that traffic wardens didn’t patrol the area at weekends.
