Lewis’s art is a trail blazer!

A SCULPTURE trail that aims to put the Colne Valley on the map has added a new work of art to its collection.

The River Colne Sculpture Trail project is a two-and-a-half year initiative which aims to create a dynamic and varied sculpture trail which reflects the valley’s environmental diversity.

As part of the project a number of works of art have been commissioned to show the transformation of the area from the industrial to the digital age. There have also been opportunities for local people to get involved in the project.

Artist Lewis Morgan has just installed his new artwork at Eastergate, just over the Packhorse bridge on the moors near Marsden.

The carved stone signpost includes ideas from local children and adults about the wildlife and history of the area.
