New grandma in drowning tragedy
Oct 30 2008 By Andrew Hirst
AN interior designer found dead in a Huddersfield stream had recently become a grandmother.
Tragic Hilary Grater, 53, was discovered in the water close to her home at Dogley Bar off Penistone Road in Fenay Bridge, by her son, Oliver.
A police investigation has been underway ever since, but the Examiner can now reveal that Miss Grater’s death is no longer being treated as suspicious.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The incident is not believed to be suspicious.
"However, the circumstances remain unexplained and a full report has now been passed to the coroners’ office."
