Calendar Girls whisk up a froth of excitement

A WHISK was a secret weapon when members of a village Women’s Institute shed their clothes to re-create the famous Calendar Girls.

Ten members of Stocksmoor WI posed in their birthday suits for the charity calendar, which is now on sale.

Shots of the women discreetly posing nude behind a bar, pegging out the washing and in the bath appear in the calendar.

But there were not enough bubbles in the bath, so many more had to be whisked up for the calendar shoot.

The calendar will raise money for two charities in memory of relatives of WI members.

Linda Coletta-Whiteley’s sister, Pauline Clarke, died of cancer five years ago at Kirkwood Hospice, Dalton.
