Calendar Girls whisk up a froth of excitement
Marlene Parr is raising money for the Group B Strep Support organisation, which pays for research into the life-threatening streptococcus infection.
Her grand-daughter, Holly James, died of the infection at birth five years ago.
Mrs Coletta-Whiteley, of Almondbury, said: “The idea came when we went on an outing to Wentworth Castle, near Barnsley, and the tour guide said: “Oh, I thought I was getting the Calendar Girls.”
“So I said to him next time we visit we will be and then I said to the girls ‘let’s do it’ and they all agreed.
“It was such a laugh. One of them had to stand outside pegging the washing out and we were all watching from the side.
“In another of the pictures one of the girls was in the bath and we had to whisk it to get the bubbles.
