Charity group raising funds

A CHARITY dedicated to helping people who suffer from migraines is holding a fundraising event in Huddersfield.

The Migraine Action event will feature many stalls and be at the Town Hall on Tuesday, November 25.

It will take place in the reception room from 11am to 3pm and feature a raffle, henna tattoos, face-painting and a buffet lunch.

Organisations that will have stalls include Kirklees College, Kirklees Primary Care Trust, the WRVS, Up and Working, which helps people prepare for jobs, and Gateway to Care, which gives health and social care information and support.

One in eight people suffer from migraines

. Symptoms include nausea and vomiting, visual disturbances, extreme sensitivity to light, sound or smell and numbness of the limbs. The symptoms often last as long as three days.
