Cabbie hurt in vicious attack

A VETERAN taxi driver had his jaw broken in two places in a mindless late-night attack.
Now the hunt is on to catch those responsible for the assault on 67-year-old Mohammed Siddiq.
The father-of-one had picked up a passenger in Huddersfield town centre early in the morning and driven him to Quarmby.
The man got out on Quarmby Road at 3am on Saturday and said he needed to go into a house to get some money.
Mr Siddiq watched him go into a well-lit house and talk to three girls.
Mr Siddiq then got out of his cab, phoned a colleague to find out where he was going to next and looked down the road.
The next moment he was attacked from behind, but somehow managed to get in his cab and drive to his Fartown home.
