Pink day for good cause

STUDENTS and staff at a Huddersfield school have been hard at work raising money.
They raised £606 as they went to Royds Hall High School at Paddock dressed in pink to raise cash for Breast Cancer Research and to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Week.
To make sure they raised as much money as possible staff and students who were dressed in pink paid £1 and buns and cakes were sold at break time.
School meals also had a pint theme for the day, with pink custard and pink buns.
Class 5HA and their teacher, Heather Allen, have also been hard at work raising money for the Forget Me Not Trust.
They have raised £500 for the children’s hospice charity by selling cakes at break time since the start of term.
