Huddersfield 08 is wettest on record

WE’VE lived through the Soggy Summer.

Now with the Awful Autumn and the threat of a Wet Winter it can be revealed - 2008 is officially the worst we’ve had.

Weather experts at the University of Huddersfield have confirmed the year in the town has been the wettest since their records began, with the figures for November and December to come.

The news will come as no surprise to thousands of people.

The summer saw many events cancelled, including a charity horse show in Greenhead Park because of the weather.
