Cutting the cloth on town hall flags

EAGLE-EYED readers may have spotted that flags on town halls seem to be smaller.

The fear is that large flags may get wrapped around the poles and weaken them.
A Kirklees Council spokeswoman said larger flags were flown on special occasions when weather allowed.
