Joel, 3, honours war dead
HE’S too young to appreciate the sacrifices made by millions.
But yesterday, three-year-old Joel Booth paid his own poignant tribute to the war dead.
Joel was among pupils at Rastrick Independent School who staged a remembrance service at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, wearing the war medals of his great-great-uncle.
Some 200 children, parents and staff braved the weather to take part in the service.
It was held outdoors in the school’s remembrance garden.
