A MAN and a boy have pleaded guilty to murdering a teenager in a Dewsbury park – but three others are denying it.
Amin Hussain Ali, 20, of Field Lane, Ravensthorpe, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted killing 17-year-old Amar Aslam when they appeared at Leeds Crown Court.
But now a jury is to hear evidence against the three other teenagers, who have denied killing Amar.
Ali and the boy have also pleaded guilty to robbing the teenager of a sum of money, a mobile phone, a chain and a quantity of cannabis.
Amar, from Westtown, Dewsbury, died from head injuries in Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury, on May 25.
Ali and the teenage defendant were due to go on trial yesterday along with three other 16-year-olds, who are also charged with Amar’s murder and robbery.
