ONE minute, Chelsea North was a cheeky, happy 14-year-old – the next she was told she was dying from cancer.
Four months ago Chelsea, of Newsome, went to hospital after mysterious pains in her legs became severe.
Neither she nor her family expected that within a week they would receive the devastating news that she was terminally ill.
Newsome High School pupil Chelsea has bone cancer – osteosarcoma – which has spread all over her body.
Dad Leigh Binney, of Bradley Mills, said: “She rang me in tears and asked me to take her to hospital in July. Within a week, they told us to tell her she was dying. She then refused to have more chemotherapy. All she wanted to do was go home.”
