Huddersfield Children In Need - pictures

THEY danced, they bounced, they pushed prams and they pelted their teachers with wet sponges.

Hundreds of people turned fund-raisers for the day as Children In Need fever swept Huddersfield.

Dozens of firms, schools and organisations did their bit for the annual fundraising marathon, which raises millions of pounds.

l New mums paraded through Huddersfield town centre in a sponsored pram push.

It was by organised by Rebecca Rooke and Tanya Stagg, who met at a pregnancy pilates class in Armitage Bridge.

Rebecca lives in Golcar and her brother, 21-year-old Kieran Parnaby and his 19-year-old friend, Phil More, both travelled down from Newcastle to shake the collection tins.

“People were very generous,” said Rebecca.
