A MOTORCYCLIST was injured in a crash – one of two on the same stretch of road just hours apart.
The biker was hurt when he came off his purple Suzuki bike after it was in collision with a vehicle on Newsome Road at 3.20pm yesterday.
The smash happened at the junction with Whitegate Road.
The rider suffered a leg injury, but was not thought to be badly hurt.
In an earlier crash an elderly couple were trapped for a short while in their car in a three-vehicle crash in Newsome Road at 12.50pm.
The doors had been pushed in on their Kia Mentor, but when firefighters from Huddersfield station arrived they had been freed.
