Dad who 'steamrollered' teachers handed Asbo

A DAD has become one of the first people in the country to get an Asbo for terrorising his children’s teachers.

Wayne Edmund, 35, is banned from committing antisocial behaviour for two years.

Issuing the order at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday, District Judge Gary Garland told him: “To put it bluntly, if you have a problem with your kids at school, don’t go around there, steamrollering in wanting to have a row with the headmaster or the teachers.”

The court heard Edmund, of Leeds Road, Huddersfield, had failed to curb his behaviour despite repeated warnings over incidents at Holmfirth Junior, Infant and Nursery School.

Geoff Bell, prosecuting for Kirklees Council, said there were seven incidents of antisocial behaviour between April and September.

A previous hearing had heard how Edmund, who had four children at the school, hurled abuse at staff and parents – many times in the playground in front of young children.
