Schools - Collect for Cash winners

WINNERS of this year’s Schools – Collect for Cash competition now have their money.

The five schools that came out top in the Examiner’s second annual contest met at the Holiday Inn in Brighouse yesterday as staff from the Examiner, Barclays and the Holiday Inn joined forces to reward the winners.

Examiner senior marketing executive Natasha Maskery kicked off the event before introducing Huddersfield MP Barry Sheerman to present the prizes.

Natasha said: “Today has been fantastic! It’s been marvellous the way that the Examiner, Barclays and the Holiday Inn have all joined forces to reward the winners of this year’s Schools – Collect for Cash competition.

“I’m so grateful to our supporters. They really have pulled out all the stops and made this a memorable day for the pupils.”

It was the biggest entry ever with Examiner staff having to count their way through almost 56,000 tokens.
