Inquest hears of family’s crash tragedy

A WOMAN who was badly hurt in an early morning horror smash tragically died 18 months later, an inquest heard.
Sharon Kaye, 30, was left brain-damaged and confined to a wheelchair after she lost control of her red BMW after a night out with friends.
After the accident her parents, Stuart and Denise Jagger, devoted themselves to caring for her at their Honley home.
But she suffered complications caused by her injuries and died in September last year.
Mrs Jagger said: “The pain we’ve been through is unimaginable. She was wonderful, so full of life; this has been a devastating time for us.
“Her father worked with her, but he has retrained and now works helping others who have suffered brain injuries.”
The Huddersfield inquest heard that bubbly Sharon had just learned she had been promoted at work before the tragedy. She was a transport manager beside her father, a lorry driver.
