Road is repaired, after almost 20 years!
ONE of Britain’s worst roads is being repaired after almost 20 years!
Harrison Lane, near Helme, was deemed Britain’s ninth bumpiest road in a survey by Continental Tyres in July.
But now work on the crumbling, pothole-strewn ruin of a road, which runs between Meltham and Blackmoorfoot, has been started.
Meltham Town Council member Shirley Watson, a long-standing resident of Harrison Lane, says the road has been allowed to crumble for between 15 and 20 years.
