Worker dies in Mamas and Papas warehouse accident

AN investigation has started into the death of a man in an accident at one of Huddersfield’s best-known firms.

Father-of-two Alan McLean, 41, died from multiple injuries in the warehouse at Mamas and Papas, of Colne Bridge.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned in Bradford.

It will be resumed in Huddersfield in a few months, after the investigation is finished.

Mr McLean was the assistant warehouse manager at the company, which is a baby goods retailer.

The inquiry is being carried out under the Health and Safety at Work Act by Kirklees Council’s Health And Safety Unit.
