'Critical condition' man attacked in Golcar street

ATTACKED INTHE STREET

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after an attack in Golcar.

The 25-year-old victim, who has not been named, is now in Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries and was said to be “critical but stable” this morning.

Detectives investigating the incident have sealed off part of the main street through Golcar, outside the Co-op store.

Police said the incident was reported at 1.30am yesterday – but the scene still remained taped off this morning.

Officers attending in the early hours of yesterday morning found the man with serious injuries, outside the Co-Op supermarket on Town End.
