Festive crackdown on drink-drivers
The message is simple. Go to the Christmas parties, but then get a bus or taxi home.
l Under Section 163 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, police have the power to stop any vehicle being driven on a road.
These checks will be carried out at highly visible locations.
