NEW bosses hope to revive a Huddersfield pub by returning to traditions.
The Scape House Inn in Scapegoat Hill was left without permanent management when business partners Stewart Humphries and Matthew Harper called time in July.
They had spent £40,000 refurbishing the pub and employed staff from the surrounding areas as they tried to create a genuine “local”.
But rising beer and fuel prices and the effects of supermarket competition eventually took their toll.
The pair left the pub after 17 months in charge.
But this weekend The Scape House reopened under the management of David Bingham, Joshua Charlesworth and Richard Walker.
David, 67, and Joshua, 18, are involved with running the Fleece Hotel at Barkisland.
