Phones stolen in muggings

PHONES have been stolen from victims in a spate of weekend robberies along Wakefield Road, between Dalton and Aspley.

All the muggings were close to the same road, but are not believed to be linked.

In the worst attack, a gang including a girl assaulted a 42-year-old man walking home after a night out at Old Wakefield Road, Moldgreen.

The victim was kicked and punched by the five or six-strong gang who stole his Sony Ericsson phone and wallet.
