Driver ‘forced off M62 by lorry’
A DRIVER was terrified when she was sideswiped off the M62 by a lorry.
But when 27-year-old Sahra Mortimer complained to police about the incident on the westbound carriageway near Brighouse, she discovered a CCTV camera was not working.
Sahra, of Dalton, had hoped the lorry that hit her red Daewoo Matiz hatchback car at around 5.45pm on Friday, December 5, had been caught on camera and could be traced.
“I was driving home from work in Bradford and realised the lorry was behind me as we passed junction 26 at Chain Bar,” she said. “As we passed Hartshead Moor Service Station the lorry was overtaking me in the middle lane.
“The next thing I noticed was a shadow in the corner of my eye and the lorry was coming in on me.
“It nudged me and I was sent into the slip road where traffic comes onto the motorway from the service station.
