KIND-HEARTED fundraisers in Huddersfield have raised £388,000 to help people with leukaemia.
The Honley and Huddersfield branch of Leukaemia Research revealed the staggering amount as they marked their 25th anniversary.
And they have vowed to continue the fight against the cancer and raise even more.
Valerie Akroyd said: “It is so important we continue raising money for Leukaemia Research.
“People need to be aware of the many different types of leukaemia there are.
“And while they are making some great progress with children’s leukaemia, there is still so much more we can do in terms of research and the treatment and drugs we provide.”
The group held a special event to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
