Blind support group call for answers as funding is pulled

Since then, he had contacted Mrs Woodcock to say that the council is working on plans for the support services and will get the information to the society as soon as possible.
Mrs Woodcock said: “We feel happier that we have brought the matter to their attention and they listened and are working on it, but we still don’t have answers.
“It’s stressful. There will be around 1,000 people who need to know what the changes are and have them explained. That takes time. We don’t know what services we will keep and what we will lose.”
The social activities provided by the group will continue, but funding for the events could be greatly reduced.
