What a cutie! Baby alpaca born on farm

CHRISTMAS may traditionally be the time of year when we celebrate one particular birth in a stable.

But workers at Cannon Hall Farm are celebrating a very different festive arrival.

The Cawthorne farm’s first-ever baby alpaca has been born just in time for the big day – with another baby due to arrive early in the New Year.

And the cute new addition is proving the new star attraction with visitors of all ages.

David Nicholson, who runs the family business, said: “We’ve got a few adult alpacas, but they take a few years to mature to be ready for breeding, so this is the first one that’s been born at the farm.

“We’ve had to wait a long time for this one.

“The pregnancy is about 12 months, which is long time for a farm animal.
