DOUBLE DELIGHT!
EVERY girl wants to look special.
And 15-year-old Melissa Peacock and her mum Carolyne were given the treat of a lifetime, thanks to the Examiner’s Christmas Wish Campaign.
A day’s pampering is what many woman hope for and Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table and Vanilla hair and beauty salon at Aspley ensured their wish was granted.
Melissa, a Newsome High School and Sports College student, has undergone 22 operations since she was diagnosed with the condition benign intercranial hypertension when she was just nine-years-old.
The debilitating condition leads to fluid building up in her brain creating severe headaches, double vision and affecting her balance.
In January she had five operations in six days and she now has a shunt implanted in her brain. But Melissa, a former Examiner Baby of Year third place winner remains positive.
