Kirklees Cabinet decided to keep the two services running for another three months.
The 95, which links Skelmanthorpe to Denby Dale and Barnsley, carries an average of three passengers – but has taken more than 40 people on certain journeys.
The H8 runs once an hour and links Thongsbridge, New Mill, Scholes, Hepworth and Jackson Bridge to Holmfirth. It averages between three and four people per journey.
Kirklees has spent £55,000 running the three rural bus services since June.
Running the Denby Dale bus for the first three months of next year will cost £17,000, with £7,000 committed to the Holme Valley service over the same period.
Keeping the Colne Valley bus going for two days a week will cost £2,200.
