A DREAM come true.
That was how a grateful mum reacted after she and her children enjoyed a magical trip to Lapland and a meeting with Santa Claus.
Joanne Senior had her Christmas Wish granted when she visited the home of Santa Claus with nine-year-old son Lewis and daughter Jessica, seven.
And she gave a heartfelt thanks to Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table and the Examiner for making the magical experience a reality as part of its Christmas Wish Campaign.
Joanne and her children were nominated for the wish by her mum, Bernadette Senior, after Joanne’s third child, Charlie, was left blind and severely disabled in May last year following a tragedy.
The youngsters spent many days in a hospital’s intensive care unit but was left permanently disabled.
Joanne, of Willow Grove, Golcar, said: “They have had an absolutely horrendous time since Charlie was injured.
“Both children are amazing, helping to look after him. They have missed out on a lot but they never grumble.
“They were overwhelmed when they found out we were going to Lapland.
“I had always promised I would take them there one day. We all cried together when we got the news. We were so happy. It is a dream come true for all of us.”
