IT’S proving to be the hit of the season.
Pirouetting is proving even more popular on Huddersfield’s Piazza this year.
The ice skating rink has been packed for every session with children and adults revelling in the fun.
More than 5,000 skaters have paid to use the rink in the public sessions, an average of 280 a day.
There have also been children from 11 schools visiting with more than 600 pupils skating before the holiday period started.
Last year seven schools and 400 pupils visited and public sessions totalled 3,000 in the first 16 days.
