Town centre ice rink a success once more; pictures and story

Kirklees councillors and officials have been delighted with the success of the rink.

They introduced a new attraction on the rink this year, with electric-powered bumper cars.

They were in use this month and proved a hit.

Now the rink has been turned over to the skaters and they are enjoying the sport.

The 30 metre by 15 metre rink will be open every day until January 4 except Christmas Day.

It is the third year that the council has provided the Huddersfield On Ice event.
