Boxing Day fun runners help raise cash for charity
SCORES of people took part in a charity fun run in Stainland.
The Boxing Day run was organised by Stainland Lions, the local athletics club. Many of the runners donned fancy dress.
The three-mile run started and ended at The Red Lion pub.
Over the years the event has raised many thousands of pounds for charity.
This year the organisers chose to help Debra, the group offering support to people with a debilitating skin condition.
The entertainment included a charity auction in the pub, run by Kevin Barker, as well as food and a raffle. There were also prizes for many of the runners and for the fancy dress costumes.
