A HUDDERSFIELD student is back home – after working at the headquarters of the Mormon Church.

Elena Platt, a former Holmfirth High School student, arrived back in the country after serving an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she has been a lifelong member.

She had been assigned to serve in the Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission in Utah, USA.

Elena, 22, is now back home with her family and working as a communicator for the deaf.
