Final curtain for amateur dramatics group

The play, by J B Priestley, is a Yorkshire comedy, set at the beginning of the 20th century. It follows the story of three couples celebrating their 25th wedding anniversaries.

But they are in for a shock when they discover that the vicar who married them has been keeping a scandalous secret from them.

Mrs Owens added: “We have been working hard at rehearsals and are determined to make this a play that we can be proud of.

“For the first time we are doing a run of four, consecutive performances. We would like to ask all the local public to buy tickets and help us to make this final production a show to remember.”

The play will be performed from 7.30pm on each of the four nights at Waring Green Community Centre on Garden Road at Brighouse.

Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. They can be booked by phoning 01484 712217 or 01484 718988.
