Arts and crafts at mill

ART and craft sessions for adults are to be held each week at Bates Mill in Huddersfield.

Kirklees Council Culture and Leisure Services is hosting the weekly sessions at the mill on Queen Street South from January 6 to February 10.

A different activity will be on offer each week and the sessions are designed to suit beginners or experienced crafters.

On January 6, the group will learn glass painting. On January 13, it will be a tie-dyeing class, followed by fabric painting on January 20. On January 27, there will be an embroidery workshop and February 3 will be all about decoupage. The final event on February 10 will involve making scraffito cards.

The craft sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm and cost £2, with materials and a drink included.
