Can you find the High Street?
Station Road, which came second in the Yorkshire-wide poll, is even more popular in the Huddersfield area than High Street.
There are 19 such roads – and in some cases, like Holmfirth and Fenay Bridge, the street name has survived long after the train station has closed.
Halifax Estate Agents managing director Gordon Edwards said: “The names we give to our streets serve more than just a functional purpose. Regional and national favourites paint a picture of our history and landscape.
“Features of our past and surrounding areas along with ties to religion and the church, key cities and transport routes play a fundamental role in our lives on a day to day basis, and that is reflected in our street names.”
