Craig Meehan starts appeal over child porn conviction

During his five-day trial the former fishmonger had denied accessing the images, some featuring children as young as four.

Meehan was cleared of viewing an indecent image of a topless teenager on his mobile.

After the case, Meehan did not return to his former home.

Last month, Karen Matthews was convicted of the kidnap of her own daughter, along with friend Michael Donovan. The pair are now on remand awaiting sentencing.
