Nightclub gunman still not tracked down

POLICE are still hunting the gunman who fired shots in a crowded Huddersfield nightclub.

Detectives are still sifting through a number of pieces of information that have come in since the incident in Club Society in Kirkgate early on New Year’s Day.

But they have not yet tracked down the person who brought terror to the club.

Meanwhile, two Manchester men have appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court charged with public order and firearms offences after a disturbance in Wade Lane, Leeds early on New Year’s Day.

Mohammed Mohibur Uddin, 19, of Stapleford Close, Sale, and Mohammed Rahel Choudhary, 21, of Handcock Close, Moss Side, have been remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court later.

A man suffered minor injuries during the incident.
