Huge support for Move Our Maternity Services back campaign

One member says: “Always been appalled at the decision to move the main unit to Halifax – too far for emergencies to travel. Really need a fleet of helicopters to make it work due to traffic congestion at almost all hours.”
Another says: “I have just recently had a baby girl. I had to have her in Calderdale as my waters broke early, but I live across the road from the Huddersfield Royal. I had a very quick delivery and I just made it to Halifax. I don’t understand why they moved the maternity services – it’s wrong.”
An expectant father says: “Me and the missus are expecting our first child in nine weeks and think it’s disgusting that we have to travel to Halifax. We only pray the baby doesn’t come in prime-time traffic.”
A mum says: “This is terrible! When I was pregnant with my son in 2006 they were talking about this, and I was panicked. I don't drive, How could I go on a bus all the way to Halifax? Or catch a Taxi? It’s silly. Bring it back to Huddersfield.”
