AN award-winning Huddersfield firm has announced 12 redundancies with the sale of part of its business.
Bradley print firm Leach Colour has sold its professional photography laboratory division, which processes film for commercial photographers, to One Vision Imaging in Coventry.
As a result 12 of the 16 staff will be made redundant.
Leach Colour has a total of 85 employees.
The move comes just months after the company was presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise by the Duke of Kent.
The award was in recognition of its STIK magnetic graphics product, which is widely used in stores, car showrooms, offices and visitor centres in the UK and overseas.
Managing director Richard Leach the graphics side of its business had a good 2008, but the film processing laboratory had seen business decline.
The division had been hit by the rise in digital processing.
