Police plea after attack
Jan 8 2009 by Andrew Hirst, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
A TEENAGER was cut on the head during a robbery.
Police now want to trace two men.
They were on the same bus as the 16-year-old boy, who was attacked in an alleyway and mugged just after getting off the 281 from Dewsbury bus station.
The teenager walked along Hyrstlands Road in Batley, followed by two men. He said the men approached him in an alleyway and demanded his mobile phone.
When he refused there was a struggle and the victim was cut on the back of his head. The weapon used is thought to be a craft knife.
The robbery happened mid-afternoon on Thursday November 27 last year, but police have only now released the information.
The first suspect is in his early 20s, about 6ft 2in tall and stocky with a pale complexion.
He has gelled-down black hair and a trimmed beard and was wearing a denim jacket with a zip-up top.
The other suspect is also in his early 20s, about 5ft 9in tall and also has black gelled-down hair and a trimmed beard.
He too wore a denim jacket with a zip-up top and blue jeans.
Anyone who knows them or has any information is asked to contact CID on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
